Cities have long attempted to regulate the growth of themselves, while today in Los Angeles one can categorize the cities growth as an hoc, and a comprehensive set of building regulations related to use, area, height, mass, etc. This proposal aims to examine the Arts District in Los Angeles to to form new models for future urban growth of the area. By proposing a super-densed structure surrounding by public area, the new arts districts creates a city itself with the potential for expanding.
